A demo[computer art] party with 100 computer places, community area, creative content, workshops, museum tour, performances & compos [competitions]. Similar to a LAN party, but aiming for creativity rather than gaming. No age limit, sober event.

The Alternative Party in a nutshell
The Alternative Party is a demoparty and a festival of digital culture. It gathers together creative programmers, visualists, musicians, designers, researchers and passionate enthusiasts. The number of visitors this year is estimated to be over 400.
We offer world beating activities like music shows, special guests, demoscene competitions, a computer exhibition, seminars, workshops and an arts exhibition. In addition the event serves as a welcoming meeting place for people in the domain and encourages its attendees to think creatively and open-mindedly.
Join the crew
The event is organized together with volunteers, communities and partners. There are a lot of different tasks before, during and after the event and there are also areas where no previous experience is required – we will guide each other through the process!
