All the releases and pictures can be downloaded to your computer for use in media. Just click right mouse button and select option "save as". Pictures are in the JPEG format and the resolution is mostly 300dpi. Text material is in PDF format, other formats are available upon request.

About Alternative Party

Alternative Party is an annual demoparty and festival of digital culture attended by coders, musicians, designers, hackers, and other digital enthusiasts. In Alternative Party, you can both catch a glimpse of the technology of the future, and experience nostalgic trips with vintage hardware. The immersive and diverse party program guarantees entertainment for casual visitors as well. 

Each year, the organisers of Alternative Party look for a new theme to challenge the audience and bring new ideas into life. This year’s theme is space, the forgotten frontier.

Keeping with the space theme, the main guests in Alternative Party are the first Finnish space traveller Vesa Heilala, prominent Mars researcher Sini Merikallio, and the self-described astroanarchist J-P Metsävainio, widely known due to his freelance space photos and illustrations. The music program is headlined by Finnish space synth veterans Aavikko.

Alternative Party on vuosittainen demoparty sekä digitaalisen kulttuurin festivaali, jonka kävijäkunta koostuu ohjelmoijista, muusikoista, hakkereista ja muista digi-intoilijoista. Alternative Partyssä voi nähdä pilkistyksen huomispäivän innovaatioista ja kokea nostalgiamatkoja menneiden vuosien teknologian parissa. Mukaansatempaava ohjelma tarjoaa paljon viihdettä myös sattumanvaraisemmille kävijöille.

Alternative Partyn teema vaihtuu joka järjestyskerralla, jotta kävijöille voidaan tarjota tuoreita kokemuksia vuodesta toiseen. Tämä vuoden teemana on avaruus.

Avaruusteemaan sopivasti päävieraina ovat Mars-tutkija Sini Merikallio, suomalainen avaruusmatkapioneeri Vesa Heilala, sekä itseään astroanarkistiksi luonnehtiva tähtitaivaan valokuvaaja J-P Metsävainio. Musiikkiohjelman päänimenä on Siilinjärven avaruusdiskotrio Aavikko.
