Thank you for great event
This years event is now over. Alternative Party wants to thank all the visitors, speakers, artists, sceners, exhibitors, sponsors, partners and ALL of you for a warm and lovely event we got.
Programme
Under blinking neon lights, hidden from evil corporations and offering a safe haven for all kinds of cybercitizens, digital refugees and edgerunners, the party program of Alternative Party 2009 is a timeline of exploding entertainment, razor-sharp technical excellence, non-conformist creativity and intelligent rebellion.

Special guests
Sophie Wilson and Jeri Ellsworth bring wisdom and some mad skillz to the venue. Wilson, a pioneer of the 8-bit computing era and also an engineer of the ARM architecture, has even promised to bring an original Acorn System One prototype with her! If you have not noticed the Commodore 64 Direct-to-TV joystick, you might know Jeri Ellsworth from her and George Sanger's Fat Man and Circuit Girl show.
Competitions
Technical and artistic merits are nothing. Capture the big screen - or the PA system or the whole stage - in your creative endeavour. Can you do it in 320x200 pixels? Do you have what it takes to obliterate the competition with old 8-bit hardware? A friendly but challenging duel of skills is the heart of any demoparty. Even if your skills are focused around wearing an outfit worth noticing, we have something for you!
Music
As a meeting place of different aspects of culture, be it digital or analogue, we also bring noteworthy artists to carry you through the night. Dope Stars Inc, Byproduct, 64mula, Tero and many more!
Art and Technology Exhibition
The exhibition of classic computers, technology from the future and mindblowing art! See Glittermouse doing multimedia drawing, Supercomputer technology, MSX computers, audiovisual technology and lots of more to see and do!
Special sessions
Participate in the Acorn System One live demo, the Fat Man and Circuit Girl live broadcast (you read it right!), cyberpunk business seminar, learn Italian and Spanish in one day and more!
Social program
Alternative Party is about people meeting people. Participate in the Speeddating and other social program at our bar - the Nebula Club. On Friday, begin the party with the cyberpunk dinner. Check also the warmup club on Thursday, cooldown VIP sauna and other social events!
