Alternative Party's 'Think Different' Day, April 1st

The Alternative Party is organising a 'Think Different' day on April the 1st in honour of Apple turning 30. This will take place at the Rantasauna building in Otaniemi, Espoo. This event is not only for Apple users or hardcore fans, but for anyone who would like to have a bit of fun together and celebrate one of the most significant players in the home computer revolution, as well as an influential force on the computer industry as a whole.

• Thanks to Fishpool agreeing to sponsor this event, the entrance fee is only 5 euros per person for the whole night.
• Sauna will be hot all night.
• For the bold at heart, there's a jetty leading into the sea, although the water's probably pretty cold.
• Presentation: The History of Apple
• Snacks on offer. Beers on sale.
• Network should be available. We will be following any product announcements Apple might make then.
• Compos (see below)
• Free entrance to anyone who brings Apple hardware from the 70s or 80s! Also, free entrance to people who bring rare hardware such as the Newton, the Cube or the anniversary Mac from a few years ago. NeXT hardware also readily accepted.
• Prizes given to the coolest hardware
• A free beer for the first 12 people to arrive!

Compos

• El Compo de la Manzana (anything goes compo, as long as it's related to Apple somehow — demos, performances, whatever)
• Apple-eating competition. The traditional.

The doors will be open from 1700 onwards and we recommend people bringing machines come around then or not too much later, just so we have time to set things up and make it look impressive :-)
