The Board: Membership register and stuff

We've just send out a message to all of those who had an email in our current "register" of members. There we kindly asked everyone to put their data to the ALT-Mart,where it will be stored.
So, why are we doing this then? Our current register does not fullfil the requirements set on it, thus an update would been needed anyway. Now after this upgrade everything should be somewhat better.
However, there are some things that have raised questions, namely the Scred and the use of Paypal. We understand if the use of these platforms does not suit you and there is an alternative way to register yourself to the Alternative Party ry. For details of that process, please contact us via ry-membership@altparty.org and let's sort things out.

The recent so called Lex Nokia proceedings have been raising voices in Finland. Basically it is new legislation which offers companies the right to dig into their employees' mailboxes. Quite understandably this has been vehemently opposed by, well, just about everyone. Except for Nokia, of course, and their favourite politicians.
