The music program of the Alternative Party digital culture festival is headlined by Aavikko, who have gained worldwide popularity and recognition with their retrofuturistic albums and live shows.

The opening ceremony of the Alternative Party will feature a premiere of the piece De Rerum Natura, which is performed by 11 classical musicians and meant to be experienced by brains of the year 2040.

Alternative Party is also proud to include Swedish ambient icons Carbon Based Lifeforms into the festival lineup, along with Since November, who have traveled from Radio Helsinki's heavy rotation to obscurity and now back again, and former demoscene-fave Muffler, who has since made a name for himself in the drum'n'bass circles.

In addition, Alternative Party offers ethereal electro beats from Bad Loop, a collision of the demoscene and hardcore worlds when Byproduct and Alek Száhala take the stage, a solo performance by DigiDroid - who is one half of Carbon Based Lifeforms, as well as a bunch of other DJ sets.
